To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus said... "For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” (Luke 18:9, 14b)These verses rebuke me... for some times I consider myself as a righteous person and hence looked down on others. The fact is, some times I also make mistakes, don't I? I am not doing the right thing all the time...
Lord, forgive me, if some times I looked down on others because I see their behavior as improper and therefore I tend to 'labeling' them as an errant person, while I do have my shortcomings and weaknesses in me which I need to improve.
Teach me to be humble like You, Lord Jesus, and don't let me easily 'labeling' others just because I consider some of their behavior as improper. Enable me to see others as Your good creation... Amen.
